Deadly Dear Dare Dance – Eduard Dantes

Got my eyes
On diamonds
Constantly digging themselves deeper
Into the ground,
So I ask
Dare I chase dreams
So dearly desired
When more and more
They appear
As a dance
Of decadently dire steps
Running away
With each day that dawns,
Leaving no clue
As to digging them up
While each dirge of those pages
Drifting in that dismal draft
Drying ink on dirty paper
Demands an eventual date
With death’s dim visage?

his name rhymes with ‘mince’. He’s rarely without a notebook and can usually be found next to the closest bottle of red wine. Previously a writer for The Roehampton Lane Journal.
