Desire – Vincent Edward Manda

I was cursed with a taste

For the finer things

And an insatiable desire for life,

So much so

I wish it to end in the culmination

Of a perfect moment;

For instance

When in a dark jungle full of song

The sight of a partially visible sky

Drowning in a burning moon and howling stars

Is obscured by the silhouette of

A beautiful woman.

his name rhymes with ‘mince’. He’s rarely without a notebook and can usually be found next to the closest bottle of red wine. Previously a writer for The Roehampton Lane Journal.
