GONE – Vincent Edward Manda

It’s funny when you see them go.

Nothing else can make you feel so low

Than when you let them go.

It’s like you’ve never been so low.

Who knows what they’ll do with those pieces of your heart,

Those pieces given away so slow.

I wonder, do they know

Of the pieces you got left?

Those little fragments makin’ you feel like the head of a poisoned dart…

Guess they’ll only ever know,

When it’s your time to go…

his name rhymes with ‘mince’. He’s rarely without a notebook and can usually be found next to the closest bottle of red wine. Previously a writer for The Roehampton Lane Journal.
