Just A Little Bit – Eduard Dantes

Pinch by pinch
It gets taken away.

Fork and knife by fork and knife
We eat it all,
Hungry as we are.

Spoon full by spoon full
We drink every drop,
Sick as we are.

Fist-full by fist-full
We won’t stop
Till all is deadly dust
And forgotten mist.

Pot by pot
We’ll cook the world
To a delicious stew

And

Gallon by gallon
We’ll drink it all dry.

Garden fork by garden fork
We’ll uproot our roots

While spade by spade
We move the sand.

Shovel by shovel
We’ll dig the earth,

Bulldozer by bulldozer
We’ll create foundations.

Rock by rock,
Stone by stone,
Brick by brick,
Cement with cement
And alloy with alloy
We’ll build them all:
Houses, mansions, palaces, castles, Churches, Synagogues, Mosques, Temples and impenetrable bases,
They will all be built!

Bullet by bullet
We’ll kill
All those who oppose us!

Bomb by bomb
We’ll turn their
Houses, mansions, palaces, Churches, Synagogues, Mosques, Temples and impenetrable bases
Into deadly dust
And forgotten mist.

Life by life
We will all die

But

Pinch by pinch
It all goes away,
Pinch by pinch
Nothing was ever here to stay

And in a million years
Nothing will be remembered today

Except, maybe dinosaurs…
And God;
Yes, dinosaurs and God will be remembered
A million years from now.
