To the strangest life I’ve ever known ~ by Bob Kesh

To the strangest life I’ve ever known,

all the people wear different clothes
and comb different hair
and walk ’em different walks
and they do strange things
and hold strange things
and carry pains like logs
and eat snacks
and forget death
and make noises
I don’t understand.
I’ve never been part of them.

At the bus station
waiting to go north
I feel like I’ve forgotten everything,
forgotten everything.
The people wait and queue.
I think
I’m going mad.
